Bee and bee family

There are about 20,000 bee species. They are everywhere except Antarctica. Bees adapted to eat pollen and nectar. They use the nectar as an energy source, and pollen is used to produce proteins and other nutrients.

beesFor sucking nectar plants, bees use long proboscis. They also have antennae, each of which consists of 12 segments in females and 13 segments in males.

All bees without exception have two pairs of wings, the front pair is larger than the rear; only some types of wings are very short, making the flight difficult or impossible. The size of bees ranges from 2.1 mm to 39 mm.

Honey bees live with big families. One family in normal conditions consists of thousands of working bees (and in the summer and with drones) and one bee uterus.

No working bees, no uterus, or drones exist separately can not and can not form a new family.

Bee family is a biological unit. Each family has its own qualities and hereditary features.
